Here are a few images of a garage studio that I recently completed. I spent the last four months renovating this garage into a accommodating work space. Essentially, it is very well insulated and heated with a standard garage heater. The ceiling was extremely low, even for older garage standers, so it had to be modified to allow for more head room. I installed a scissor truss design for the ceiling in order to slope the ceiling . I drew out a huge elevation/template of the truss design on long piece of rolled paper in order to ensure the most accurate angels and cuts that were required to build a sturdy structure. A sub-floor was also installed to insulate the concrete drive way and to help conserve heat.
I hate to say this but after the first couple of months the project became nothing but on going misery. Hopefully it will turn out to be a successful investment.
Thanks for reading.
